Barbara J. Thompson

Barbara Jean Thompson,63, of Casper Wyoming passed away on September 9th 2025 in Casper Wyoming.

Barbara was born in North Platte Nebraska to Richard and Loraine Fuller on May 21st 1962. She went to North Platte High School and graduated in 1980. She then went on to beauty school and graduated from there and started a life long career as a cosmetologist keeping her license current up to her passing. It was a profession she was very proud of and very passionate about.

She moved to Casper in 1982 and started at Regis hair salon in the Eastridge mall. A back injury sidelined her for a time. This adventure led her to Collins Car wash where she met many friends. From there she went to Tripeny Motors and finally Western International where she became one of the first female parts chasers for a truck dealership.

This is where she met the love of her life Darwin Thompson (Aka Tiger). They were Married September 7th 1991 at 7pm. Shortly after that she had the opportunity to get back into doing what she loved most, cosmetology. She Started Styles by Barbara and became a mobile salon on wheels going to the home bound and elderly to provide full services to them. She continued this until her retirement in 2019. She loved camping and traveling and her latest addiction thrifting. They had many adventures together.

She loved riding her atv and Jet ski and spent more time air bound than on the ground or water. You could often hear her giving a yell when she launched. Gardening and collecting rocks were also favorites of hers. She was most proud of her back yard. In 2023, she and her husband built her dream porch. She spent countless hours tending her yard, feeding the squirrels, and drawing in hummingbirds.

Barbara is survived by her husband and soul mate of 34 years Tiger. Her cousin, Jim (James) Fuller who took over being her big brother when her brother passed, Diane Trausch, Kim Grotz. And many more.

She is preceded in death by her Parents Richard and Lorraine, Brother Jim Fuller and his wife Nancy.

A celebration of life will be held on May 23rd 2026 at the Church of Christ 2344 E 2nd Casper Wyoming at 12 noon.
