Blake H. Harkins left this earthly world on a beautiful spring Sunday afternoon April 12th 2026. Blake was surrounded by his wife Cindy and his three brothers and their wives, Terry (Renee), Mark (Barb), and Mike (Judy). Blake was born November 5 1954 from the union of Charles D Harkins and Leota M Harkins. Blake is survived by his wife, his siblings, his son Ryan Harkins and his grandchildren Ava Harkins and Jase Harkins. Blake was proceeded in death by his Father, his Mother and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Friends.
Blake will be remembered as an outstanding athlete in football, basketball, baseball, softball,wrestling and track. He was a loyal friend and a consummate teammate. Blake could run like the wind, smile like the morning Sun, tackle like a grizzly bear, hit like Tony Conigliaro, and dribble like Tim Hardaway. Blake was a formidable opponent and he was always ready for a challenge.
Blake was a journeyman carpenter and a true craftsman. He had a discerning eye and would never cut a corner unless it was out of square. He worked at Casper College as a carpenter building many of their display cases including the display case for the Mammoth at the Tate museum. Blake started his career at Casper College in April of 2006 and retired in January of 2019. Blake was chosen as the college’s employee of the month for May of 2012.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday April 20, 2026 at 10 AM at Highland Park Community Church.
