Obituary

Brad Cheney, 79, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026. He was born on December 7, 1946, in Rawlins, Wyoming, to parents Glenn and Echo Cheney.
He graduated from Rawlins High School before earning a degree from Chadron State University. He worked as a pharmaceutical salesman for Bristol Myers Squibb for 45 years. He loved golf, poker but, above all else, the Wyoming Cowboys, and he often dressed head to toe in brown and gold.

Brad was survived by his wife, Cindy, and his sons, Tom, Travis, Kevin, and Todd along with his sister Glenna Sue. He was also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Brad was preceded in death by both of his parents.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25, from 2 to 5:30 pm at the Casper Country Club. Attendees are urged to wear brown and gold.

Memorial donations can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions. The Cheney family wishes to extend their eternal gratitude to the nurses and employees of Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions for the excellent care Brad received at the end of his life.

He was a man. He was a myth. He was a legend. Brad will live on forever in cowboy lore because he knows in heaven there is no beer, but that’s why we will drink it here .
