Brenda Burnett

Brenda Lee Burnett was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Brenda passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2021 at the age of 57.

Brenda was born to Dave and Betty Geringer on March 23, 1963. She grew up in Glendo, WY where she went on to graduate from Glendo High School in 1981. After graduation Brenda moved to Douglas, WY working for the Holiday Inn. In 1984 she moved to Casper and began her journey. She married Mike on Feb 14, 1984 and had two children in the coming years. Brenda started a career with the City of Casper in 1993 where she worked in the Police Department in Parking Enforcement and later in the City Finance as a Human Resource Specialist until her retirement in 2020.

She loved to love others, one of those ways was through her cooking!  She also enjoyed puzzles, her plants, and spending time with her family. She was a great mom and cherished every moment getting to spend time with her grandkids and granddog. Her favorite time of year was Christmas where she would get out all the singing toys and decorations you could imagine, then force her children to watch 24 hours of a Christmas Story.  She was always there for her family and gave so much love.  She will be missed by many.

Brenda is survived by her two children, Kristen of Cheyenne and Sean (Katie) of Hornick, IA and her amazing grandchildren Aden and Reagan; brothers Darin (Candy) of Glendo and Lance of Casper as well as numerous extended family members.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, Dave and Betty.

Funeral service for Brenda is scheduled on March 23, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Bustards Funeral Home in Casper. After the service we welcome all to join us at the VFW at 1800 Bryan Stock Trail in Casper.
