Brian S. Hunter

It is with deep sadness that we announce Brian Septimus Hunter passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026 at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family.

Brian was born in Sunderland, England to Robert and Catherine Hunter on November 20th, 1945. He grew up surrounded by family and was one of eight brothers, sharing a bond with his siblings that was an important part of his early life and helped shape the man he became. Although Brian carried his English roots with pride throughout his life, Wyoming was the home he loved.

His passion for soccer was lifelong, and he could often be found cheering for the game he loved, sharing spirited conversations and unforgettable match days with family and friends.

Music was another of Brian's great passions. A lifelong fan of The Rolling Stones, he enjoyed filling the air with their timeless songs, finding joy and energy in their music throughout the years.

Brian will be remembered for his kind heart, loving nature, and wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to everyone who knew him. He lived a life defined by hard work, compassion, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family.

Brian shared 53 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Susan. Their life together was built on love, devotion, friendship, and countless memories. Susan was his partner through all of life’s moments, and their bond was a testament to the love they shared.

Brian worked as a meat cutter, taking pride in his work and providing for those he loved throughout his career. Outside of work, he found joy gardening, playing golf, fishing, and spending time at the ranch. He loved sitting quietly, listening to the birds sing and watching wildlife, finding peace and happiness in the beauty of nature.

Above all else, Brian’s greatest joy was his family. He deeply loved his children, Nathan, Peter, and Megan, and was a proud and devoted father. His two grandchildren, Colin and McKenzie were the light of his life. He loved taking them on hikes and long walks around the ranch, sharing his appreciation for nature and the outdoors. Those simple moments—exploring together, listening to the birds, and watching the wildlife—became treasured memories that his grandchildren will carry with them forever.

Brian leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, laughter, and unconditional love. He taught those around him the value of hard work, compassion, and appreciating life’s simple moments. His warmth, gentle spirit, and sense of humor touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Brian will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Susan, his children Nathan (Rani), Peter, and Megan (Chris), his grandchildren Colin and McKenzie, his sister and brother in-law, Gail and Lenny Zuckerman, sister in-law Pat Morton, his brother Ken (Joan), many nieces and nephews and friends.

While his absence leaves a tremendous void, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the 19th Hole in Casper, Wyoming. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, celebrate Brian’s life, and honor the wonderful man he was.
