Catherine Tackett, who also went by Kate Tackett, lost her battle with advanced ALS. She passed away at the Casper Hospice Center in Casper, Wyoming on June 11, 2026.

She was born in Ely, Nevada November 24, 1970.

She is survived by her husband, James Tackett of Douglas, Wyoming; her children, Jamie and Chris Shockey of Peragold, Arkansas; Nicole and Jamie Wilkes of Casper, Wyoming; Jessica Hipsak of Douglas, Wyoming; James II and Taylor Tackett of Jackson Wyoming; William Tackett of Douglas, Wyoming; grandchildren: Braxton Shockey, Kimzey Meisinger, Cassidy and Alexis Hipsak, and Sophia Tackett; her siblings: Lois Jackson, John Jackson, Teddy Jackson, Janice Switzer, Llyod and Betty Jackson and Rodney Jackson.
