There is no one word, story, or pastime that could encompass who Scott Francis was as a person. As his friends and family have described him, he was the epitome of a "Jack of All Trades" or a "Renaissance Man". Before he graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1995, Scott successfully competed as a wrestler, gymnast as well as a Kelly Walsh Dancer. Outside of school, his passions were rooted in many branches of Martial Arts, including Tae Kwon Do, Kempo, and Jiu Jitsu. Later on in life, Scott went on to be a skilled electrician and hard worker in the oil industry. In his free time, he joined various dart and bowling leagues and other ventures with family and friends. He always aimed to fulfill his potential by fearlessly testing foreign waters and no body of water was too large or too deep. As a Wyoming native, Scott was an outdoorsmen at heart. He frequently joined his father and brother across the state hunting big game and eventually guided his son, Daiven, on the family tradition. Just this last year, Scott helped Daiven shoot his first antelope. In addition to hunting, Scott enjoyed fishing with his father, brothers, nephews and children. For each successful or unsuccessful excursion, Scott taught his children the value of the hunt by making use of it. He absolutely loved grilling or smoking on what him and his children refer to as ‘The Green Egg'. The little things, such as this one, are what brought such happiness and zest to Scott and those around him. Anyone who knew Scott would tell you that he could make a friend out of anyone. He was effortlessly personable and had the largest heart. Both optimistic and humorous, he was always eager to truly connect with each person that he encountered. As a family-oriented man, Scott was at his best when surrounded by family and friends. On the weekends, you would most likely find him at his parents' and brothers' houses. In the summertime, he loved golfing on the Three Crowns Golf Course and traveling to the Big Horn Mountains for the annual family camping trip. Him and his family regularly visited the Garden Creek Falls; however, even the simplest excursions were made into quite an adventure. He was rarely a spectator. When sledding with the family, he'd already be down at the bottom waiting for everyone else. He would even join the family dog, Dyna, on the living room floor to horseplay or bring her along on his weekend routine. Some of the greatest memories they shared were the family vacations to Orlando, Florida as well as Mt. Rushmore and the Cosmos Mystery Area in South Dakota. Given the chance, Scott spent time with those he loved the most, including his extended family around Wyoming and Texas. Yet above all, Scott's favorite pastime was being his children's biggest fan. The time he spent coaching and watching Daiven train and compete in Tae Kwon Do was time well spent. He admired and cherished Rhiannon's perceptive artistic abilities. He had no greater accomplishment than them, for they became the center of his world and will forever remain to be. Though it may be a tragedy to bid farewell to Scott Francis, as he was a loved son, father, husband, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend, his family extends an invitation to you all to celebrate his life at 1:00pm on Monday, January 2, 2017, in The Hangar in Bar Nunn, Wyoming where a public remembrance and celebration shall take place.
