Charles William Luckenbill Jr.

Charles William Luckenbill Jr., 70, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Charles was born on November 22, 1955, in Shelby, Mt, and was raised in the farming community of Sunburst Mt. He spent much of his early life working alongside his parents and siblings on the family farm, where he developed the strong work ethic that remained with him throughout his life.

Charles later married the love of his life, Lori and moved to Casper, Wyoming, where he built a career in construction. In the mid-90’s, he founded Summit Roofing, which he proudly owned and operated for many years.

A true outdoorsman, Charles loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He also had a lifelong interest in firearms and motorcycles. An exceptionally skilled and patient fly fisherman, he could spend hours on the water coaxing a fish to his line. Some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors, surrounded by the beauty and quiet of nature.

Above all, Charles adored his family. He was actively involved in his children's lives, coaching Little League with his son and participating in rodeo with his daughter. He and his wife, Lori, later opened their home and hearts to five wonderful foster children. Whether related by blood or brought together through love, family meant everything to Charles. To many, he was affectionately known simply as "Pops."

Charles also loved his pets and considered them an important part of the family. He lived a full and wonderful life, surrounded by the people and animals he loved, and he leaves behind countless cherished memories.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Bud” Luckenbill and Wanda Luckenbill; his sister, Carol Senner; and brother Frank Luckenbill.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Lori; his children, Charles Luckenbill and Sarah Osborn and Amanda and Corey Olsen and Serena and Oscar Natwick; his siblings, Paulett Pratt, Gene and Kim Luckenbill, Sharon and Kenny Nau, Karen Visaya, and Dori Luckenbill; his 6 grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who knew and loved him as "Pops."

Charles will be remembered for his devotion to family, his generous heart, his love of the outdoors, and the steady presence he offered to everyone fortunate enough to call him family, friend, or Pops.

A celebration of life will be held on July 22, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Restoration Church, 411 S. Walsh Dr. followed by fellowship and food for all who wish to partake.
