Cheri E. Casper

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cheri Elayne Ashcraft Casper, a woman of endless kindness and humor. Cheri passed from this life September 11, 2026 at Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions.

Cheri was born September 29, 1944 in Salt Lake City to H. Wayne and Fern Robison Ashcraft. Cheri grew up in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1964 and Casper College in 1980.

Her ability to connect with people through her sweet disposition and warm support meant many considered Cheri another mother and grandmother to them. Cheri enjoyed gardening and bird watching, and was a lifelong volunteer, at Wyoming Medical Center and most recently at Joshua’s Storehouse.

Cheri is survived by Gary, her husband of almost 63 years; sister Karen; children Jeffrey, Stacy and Gina; and grandchildren Lexie, Austin, Devon, Sophie, Aidan, and Alastair.

A celebration of life will be held at Highland Cemetery on her birth date September 29, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Joshua’s Storehouse in Cheri’s name.
