Dean Albert (Deano) Magnuson, 74, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on April 19th, 2023 in Shepherd of the Valley Rehab Center, Casper, Wyoming.

Dean was born in Mitchell, S.D. to Jay and Marjorie (Jones) Magnuson on April 12th, 1949. Dean attended grade school in Winfred School, Winfred S.D. and Lone Rose School, Fedora, S.D. until 1961. The family then moved to Box Elder, S.D., he then attended Lone Tree School and Douglas High School. Upon completion of school, Dean joined the Navy in May 1969. He served his country, stationed in San Diego, California, until his discharge in February 1971. He then moved to Casper, Wyoming, where he worked misc. jobs, until he started his career at UBC Lumber. It was in Casper, that he met the love of his life, Lucille Nelson. They were united in marriage, August 1992. They later moved to Wendover, Nevada, where he drove cement truck for a period of time. He then started his career as a Security Supervisor at Peppermill Casino, until retirement. After retiring he and Lucille moved back to Casper Wyoming, to be closer to family and friends, especially his twin brother, Gene.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cribbage, and games in general, but the activity he loved the most was, playing pool. He played on many leagues, playing three to four times a week, until his health failed to the level he was unable to.

Dean is survived by his family, Charlotte (Rick) Portella, AZ, Kenny (Jennifer), Jordon Utah, Ron(Kristen) Nelson, Casper, WY, Kim(Jody) Russell, Tampa, Fl. Brothers, Rick(Marylu) Magnuson, Rapid City, S.D., Don(Mona), Gillette, WY, Sister, Lynn(Percy) Henrick, Twin Falls, ID. Many Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He is preceded in death by his, wife, Lucille, parents, Jay and Marjorie, and his twin brother, Gene.

Dean requested no funeral services. Dean will be put to rest at the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis S.D., at a later date.
