Dorothy E. Jennings, 95 of Casper, Wyoming went to be with her Lord on July 8, 2026. Dorothy was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi on November 15, 1930, to Archie Anderson Klopman and Evelyn Elizabeth (Taylor) Klopman. She graduated from Central High in Jackson, MS in 1949 and moved to Casper with her family in 1950, where she went to work at Woolworths behind the candy counter. This is where she met Robert D Jennings.
They were married on November 26, 1952, and she stayed busy raising 5 children. She worked at Mills Elementary School for many years and was active in the Mills PTA. She was also part of the Mills Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was very involved in the Scouting Program with Troop 62 for many years seeing one of her sons all the way to the rank of Eagle Scout and another son to the rank of Life Scout. She enjoyed being the community mom which gave her the chance to help guide kids through the bumps in life. She was known for taking in strays whether it was a child or an animal. Her love for dogs was paramount. Robert passed away in 1965 and then on July 30, 1971, she married Kenneth L. (Tom) Jennings.
In June of 1975, they moved to Aurora, Mo. to help care for aging parents, while she worked at the gas station near Mt Vernon. She made many friends and collected more animals before moving back to Casper in 1982. She worked as a security screener at the Natrona County International Airport for many years and then retired. In retirement, she traveled with Tom while he drove for Davis Trucking. She was fortunate enough to travel from one side of the country to the other and was able to travel into Canada. She met a lot of kind people while trucking. She said that was one of the best times of her life.
