Douglas "Doug" Leslie Deppey

Douglas "Doug" Leslie Deppey, 84, passed away on July 27, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming.

Doug was born on October 5, 1941, in Wapello, Iowa, to Ora and Clara Deppey. He graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and enjoyed a career in the industry that spanned more than 60 years.

Doug treasured time spent visiting family, watching old movies, and playing Euchre. A standout football player in high school, he remained an enthusiastic sports fan throughout his life, faithfully cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche. Over the years he also enjoyed camping, horseback riding, four-wheeling, and was a firearms enthusiast.

Doug made his home at Skyline Apartments in Casper, Wyoming, where he formed lasting friendships and enjoyed attending the weekly coffee club.

He is survived by his son, Troy Deppey (Lisa); his daughters, Dena Isgar (Scott); and Christine Christensen. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two nieces, and one nephew.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Clara Deppey; his brother, Bob; and his sister, Darlene.

Doug will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family.

A memorial service will be held in Casper, WY at Highland Park Community Church on August 29, 2026 at 11:00am.
