Earl D. James

Earl Dee James, 83 of Douglas WY passed away February 24, 2024 at Wyoming Medical Center from natural causes. Dee was born to David and Ethel James on October 15, 1940 in Cheyenne, WY. Graduated from Torrington High School in 1958 and furthered his education at Goshen County Community College.  In 1960 he began his career with the USDA Soil Conservation Service, retiring in Albany, Oregon with 35 years of service. During his years he received many awards. Earl is survived by his wife, Betty Joyce of 59 years; son Michael (Nanette) James, Douglas; daughters Sissel (Cheryl) James, Torrington, and Deanna James, Douglas and sister Ruth Schnase of Omaha, NE. and nephew Brian Jepson, Douglas. Grand Daughters Amy, Erin, Jim, Shelly, Shanna, Sara, and Rachel and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial will be held in the summer with burial in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington.
