Evander James Eagle Road, 34, of Arapahoe, Wyoming, passed away tragically on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming.
Born on July 12, 1991, to Theda J. Hernandez Amescua and the late James H. Eagle Road. Evander was a beloved son, father, fiancé, brother, grandson, and friend. He was an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe.
Evander was a gifted artist in many forms, most notably as a tattoo artist with ConVicted Ink. He found joy in expressing creativity through his artwork, his time spent outdoors, and through his dedication to family and community.
Above all, Evander cherished his role as a father. He adored spending time with his two little “bosses,” Princess Love and Baby Rosie, who brought endless joy to his life. He loved music and was excited about attending an upcoming $uicide Boys concert.
Evander will be remembered for his generosity, humor, creativity, and the deep love he shared with all who knew him.
Evander is survived by his mother, Theda J. Hernandez Amescua; siblings Felicia Amescua Moreno Magdaleno, Julian, Eli, Sol, and Sage Eagle Road; nephews Antonio, Victor, Felipe, Lucas, and Manual Amescua; his fiancé, Christina R. Carpenter; his daughter, Lalaiya “Princess Love” Carpenter-Eagle Road; granddaughter, Rosemary Rae Thomas; father-in-laws William “BK” Carpenter and Paul Lawson; mother-in-law Veronica Lawson; and Northern Arapaho Sundance grandfather Michael Monroe.
He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, adopted children, adopted brothers, adopted sisters, and countless extended family and friends across the Rosebud Indian Reservation, Wind River Reservation, and surrounding areas.
Evander was preceded in death by his father, James H. Eagle Road, and brothers James R. and Cedar Eagle Road.
A traditional service will be held at his home, 107 Chief Black Coal Circle in Arapahoe, Wyoming, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Services will continue in Parmelee, South Dakota, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, followed by burial at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Parmelee on Friday, August 22, 2025.
