Fernando G. Jimenez was born on January 28, 1934, in Rock Springs, Texas, to Louis Jimenez Sr. and Maria Gonzalez Jimenez, also of Rock Springs. He was the fourth child in a family of ten siblings. He is survived by two of his siblings, Mary Ramirez and Manuel Jimenez.

Fernando married his first wife, Geneva Torres, in Rock Springs, and together they had four sons: Florencio, Jesus, Fernando Jr., and Jamie.

Fernando began working in sheep shearing at an early age. He later worked in construction before becoming a land surveyor.

Later in life, Fernando married Pauline Rivera Jimenez and became part of a blended family that included Louis Montoya, Jake Montoya, Richard Montoya, Priscilla Romero, Tina Greenberg, Andy Montoya, Cecilia Gottfried, Roy Mestes, and Paul Rivera.

Fernando loved his family and was known for his warm spirit.

Fernando is survived by his son, Jesus Jimenez, his siblings Mary Ramirez and Manuel Jimenez, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, too numerous to name.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Jimenez Sr. and Maria Gonzalez Jimenez, his first wife, Geneva Torres, and his later wife, Pauline Rivera Jimenez.

Fernando will be remembered for his love of family and warm spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
