George Allan Fenton

George Allan Fenton, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born in Casper on April 8, 1947, George spent his entire life in the community he loved and called home.

George attended Natrona County High School, where he began to develop the drive and dedication that would characterize his life. Known for his outgoing nature and easy charm, George was quick to make friends and always seemed to leave a lasting impression wherever he went. Those who knew him found him approachable, genuine, and ever ready with a helping hand.

For many years, George worked as a salesman at Hose and Rubber Supply, a role he held with pride and commitment until his retirement in 2012. He was known among his colleagues and clients for his work ethic, reliability, and good humor—qualities that extended beyond the workplace and into all areas of his life.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, George’s deepest joys were found at home. His beloved wife, Mary Fenton, stood by his side through all of life’s adventures. Together, they raised two children, Lisa Petersen and Herb Fenton, who carry forward his enduring legacy of strength, kindness, and love. His grandsons, Luke, Matthew, Chase, and Benjamin, brought him immense pride and were constant sources of joy. George’s dedication and example as a family man will forever inspire those who loved him.

As much as he valued his family and career, George was equally passionate about the outdoors. An avid hunter and accomplished outdoorsman, he participated in numerous archery events across Wyoming, including the Cowboy State games. Summers were often spent in the Big Horn Mountains hiking and scouting for elk, preparing for the fall’s adventurous hunts. He cherished his big game trophies, having skillfully tracked and captured Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Lion, Moose, and countless Elk. In his younger years, he was also known for his avid running, and in later life, he developed a fondness for golf.

George had a love for travel, particularly enjoying trips to Mexico with friends and the thrill of ocean fishing. He delighted in sharing stories of his adventures and the challenges of each hunt or fishing expedition. His favorite hobbies also included camping, hiking, and archery—all of which he pursued with characteristic zeal.

Those who survive George—his loving wife Mary, daughter Lisa, son Herb, and his grandsons Luke, Matthew, Chase, and Benjamin—remember him as a true pillar of strength and warmth. George’s life was grounded in family, enriched by friendship, and elevated by his active pursuits and accomplishments.

He is reunited in rest with his parents, Eva Belle and Herb Fenton; his brothers, Lloyd Fenton and Larry Adams; and his beloved aunt, Marg Cuthill. Their memories live on in the stories cherished by those still here.

George Allan Fenton’s legacy is one of steadfast devotion, unbreakable resolve, and a heart that welcomed all. He will be deeply missed by family and friends alike, and his example will continue to guide those who had the privilege to know him.
