Candelaria Georgia Sisneros Herrera passed away from natural causes on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Georgia was born in Ladoux, New Mexico on June 16, 1937, to Jose Amadeo Sisneros and Frances Geneieve Gonzales.
Georgia’s top priority was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was a trooper, she always supported her children and the choices they made and never stopped loving them. Georgia was a very strong woman – she lived one day at a time, giving the love and attention to her family and extended family that only a doting mother & grandmother can provide. She never spoke badly about anyone. Georgia also loved her dogs dearly, and of course, her bingo.
Georgia is survived by her daughters Suzan Martinez (Terry), and DeAnna Herrera Stamper (James); and sons John Herrera and Tony Herrera; 16 grandkids, 34 great grandkids, and 3 great-great grandkids.
Georgia was preceded in death by her loving husband John; parents Jose and Frances, son Rycc, three brothers, and two grandsons.
Georgia’s Vigil will be held at Bustard’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Thursday, March 12, at 11:00 am, with a procession to Highland Cemetery. A Reception will be held at the church following Interment at Highland Cemetery.
