Hester Marken

Hester Loraine Marken Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, was taken from us September 8th 2010 after a couragous 7 year battle with cancer. Hester was born October 3rd 1942 in Wendell Idaho, to Mary Helen Sheldon Ward (deceased) and Larence Franklyn Ward (deceased). Staying in Idaho for a short while, her family then moved to Casper where she attended NCHS and later attained her GED. She married Jimmie D. Marken, September 21, 1967. They had 4 children together, David D. Marken his wife Marianne, Annette L. Leaver, Branden D. Marken, and Erin L. Utterback and her husband Larry. Hester operated an in home daycare for 30 years. She loved camping, was an award winning crocheter, a Sci-fy and an Elvis Presley fanatic. She loved working with children, but her biggest love was her 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She is survived by Husband and 4 children, grandchildren, her sisters Hazel Phillips and Helena Ward Vieira, also numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Bustards Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 14, at 2: 00 PM, followed by a graveside ceremony.
