Ione Lebeda

Ione M. Miller Lebeda, daughter of Charles and Lida Miller(deceased) was born in Douglas, Wyoming May 28,1927 and entered her eternal home August 1, 2025. She was sister to Ruth Miller Brow (deceased)and Louis Miller(deceased). She is preceded in death by her husband James Lebeda whom she met when he was a soldier stationed in Douglas at the POW camp during WWII. Ione and Jim were married July 10,1946 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Ione is the Mother of Bob Lebeda (Margy), Sue Smith (Mark), and Carol Johnson (Orville). She is Grandma to Celest Kuo (Kevin), Stephan Lebeda (deceased), Janet Lebeda, Jim Smith (Rebecca) Jennifer Boyce (Cougar), Joshua Johnson (Tabatha) and Lucas Johnson. She is great grandma to Kathrine, Constance, Camille, Kassandra, Cornelius, and Kaius Kuo, James Smith (Cipriana) and Ashley Smith, Kristopher, Marcus and Bella Boyce, David, Abigail, Sarah, and Jesse Johnson. Ione lived her 98 years in Wyoming. She was a homemaker and business partner with her husband in Lebeda Construction in Casper, Wyoming. She and Jim were also involved in Gideons International Christian Ministry in Casper. She worked at Galilean and Faith Book Stores. Ione wanted all to know the love of God that she had experienced for over 70 years and lived her life with that passion. Service will be held at Bustard & Jacoby 600 CY Ave. Casper, Wyoming August 7, 2025, with Reverend Orville Johnson officiating.
