Service on October 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Bustard and Jacoby, located at 600 CY Avenue, Casper, WY, 82601.

Jim graduated from high school in Delta, Colorado. He completed trade schools in Los Angeles, California and Denver, Colorado in pursuit of his career as a mechanic, machinist, welder and foreman with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

Jim was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after his final duty station at Fort Carson, Colorado.

Jim was a highly respected man who loved deeply, lived life passionately, and abided by his faith in Jesus Christ as the light guiding his life. He never met a stranger and routinely approached people he had not yet met to strike up conversations. He was an outdoorsman equally at home in the mountains or within the confines of civilization. He had an adventurous spirit which, accompanied by Jane, led him to live in several western states and Alaska, and to travel to places such as Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and Japan. He was deeply committed to his Christian faith through which he viewed all people as God’s creation and prayed for everyone in general as well as individuals specifically. He served his church, Casper Community Church, faithfully, often participating in distributing food to others in need. Jim valued personal integrity and getting back up after being knocked down, leaving no one condemned or abandoned.

Donations and memorial contributions should be made to the Casper Community Church to further their mission of service.
