James Wayne McFall, born June 26, 1973, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 7, 2026, in Bar Nunn, Wyoming. James' life was a tapestry of deep faith, abiding love for his family, and heartfelt dedication to his work and passions.

James was a proud member of the Hot Springs County Graduating Class of 1992. From a young age, he distinguished himself both in academics and in athletics, earning respect and admiration from peers and teachers alike. He was a superior athlete, remembered most notably for his participation in the prestigious Shrine Bowl. His musical talents shone as well, drawing him into the UW Festival of Winds—a cherished story among his family recounts how he joined even though he had forgotten his trombone. Music was not merely an interest for James, but a way of life. He loved playing music, whether in the warmth of a living room or around a fire while camping; his fondest memories and those he left with his loved ones are of family get-togethers filled with singing, laughter, and worshipping the Lord.

James' career as an ASME Code Welder was a source of immense pride to him. Steadfast and meticulous, he poured his expertise into his work, earning trust and friendship wherever his career took him. Among his proudest accomplishments was not only excelling in his profession but also achieving his dream of home ownership—a testament to his character and determination.

Those blessed to know James will always remember him as the guy who could make anyone laugh, a phenomenal musician, and above all, someone who would give you the shirt off his back. He never hesitated to stand up for the underdog and was unwavering in his compassion and generosity. His love of Jesus was wholehearted and ever-present, reflected in both his words and actions every day. He cherished time with his parents and family, relishing the joys of shared meals, celebrations, and simple moments together. Whether cheering on his favorite football team or simply being together in the company of loved ones, James found happiness in the bonds of home and faith.

James is survived by his loving parents, John Wayne McFall and Joyce McFall; his sister, Kristi Clark; and his brother-in-law Jim, his brother, Rick Ken McFall; and his sister-in-law, Stacie. He was a devoted uncle to Ashlie Hubbard, Matt Hubbard, Ethan Curtis, Shealee, Rylin, Ethan Hubbard, Kayla Hilzendeger, Roger James Price, Delanie, Danae, Levi, Zeke, Kat McFall, and Parker Mankin. He also leaves behind many friends and extended family who were dear to him, including Valerie, Don Gall, Judy, Dan Moskalik, Sharon, Ernie Randall, and Dane McFall and all of their children.

He is preceded in death by RW McFall, Betty Baggs, Frank Baggs, Roger McFall, Darbi Joyce McFall, Kenneth Perkins, and Lydia Perkins, all of whom he held deeply in his heart.

A memorial service honoring James Wayne McFall will be held on August 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM Strong Tower Family Church, located at 730 E. 21st Street, Casper, WY 82601. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life marked by love, courage, and unwavering faith.

James’ legacy lives on in the laughter, the music shared among his family, and the countless lives he touched with kindness, humor, and genuine care. He will forever be remembered as an excellent son, brother, uncle, and friend.
