Janice Jean Pearson passed away peacefully in her sleep to be with our Lord on May 15, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming.
She was born June 19,1934 to Lewis and Florence Jenkins in a farming community near Carroll, Nebraska.
She attended country school up to the 8th Grade, leaving home to work at Mountain Bell Telephone Co. in Norfolk, Nebraska to help support the family.
Janice received her GED in 1973, just before her children graduated. She was very proud of her achievement.
Janice met Donald Pearson of Wakefield, Nebraska and were later married on August 9, 1953. She then joined him on Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, DC where their first daughter was born in 1955.
They were then stationed in St Louis, Missouri at which time their second daughter was born in 1956.
After being discharged from the Service, they moved to Pender, Nebraska; then on to Casper Wyoming in 1957.
Janice enjoyed gardening, her flowers and her home.
She spent many Summers and Falls fishing and boating at nearby lakes, creeks and mountains, especially in the Shirley Mountains with her family and friends.
She and Don enjoyed their later years on many excursions as Snowbirds.
She is survived by her daughters Jean Wilson (Bob}, Deborah Northrop (Jerry}, both of Evansville, Wyoming; grandchildren Angeline Satell (Tony) of Evansville, Wyoming, Abigail Chaput (Pat), Rebecca Swanson (Isaac), and Brian Northrop (Molly) all of Casper, Wyoming. Eight great grandchildren and one great, great grandson; brother Jim Jenkins (Pat) of Tennessee, sister Karen Barnes (Marlin) of Evanston, Wyoming, brother-in-Laws Gerald Pearson of Buffalo, Wyoming, Harold Pearson of South Dakota and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death are her husband Donald, parents Lewis and Florence Jenkins, youngest brother Robert Jenkins and in-laws Roy and Blanche Pearson.
Celebration of Life will take place at Casper Elks Lodge Dining Room, 108 E 7th St. Casper, Wyoming on June 27th, 2026@ 1PM
