Jay Harvey

August 3, 1949 — June 19, 2022

September 3, 1949 – June 19, 2022

Jay E. Harvey, entered this world as the first child of Robert and Louise Harvey in Great Falls, MT. He grew up in the world of ranching and being a cowboy. He loved to rope and ride, even winning trophy saddles. Jay loved this world along with his brothers and one sister. This love of land and horses continued through college. He might have graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Agricultural Science but his desire to excel in flying aircraft, after getting the flying bug in 1974, took over.

Jay flew right into the heart of Kingman, AZ and his wife of 35 years, Jen Harvey. They lived most of their years together in Rio Rancho, NM with their three beautiful children, Kendra Harvey-Mandich (husband Chris Mandich), Jayson Harvey (Fiancé’ Kara Therrell) and Cass Harvey. Family love of archery, golf, and basketball along with love of travel kept Jay busy.

Always wanting to go back to Wyoming, a new job made the move possible. In September of 2021, the move was complete with the selling of the family home in New Mexico and a new chapter beginning in Casper, WY.

Sadly, due to recent health issues, Jay left this world to be in the arms of his Lord and Savior.

Jay is survived by his wife, children, brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, and many family friends. The world is a bit emptier now, but we know that we will see him again.

As we move forward in the days without the man, father we loved we ask that in leu of flowers please donate to the any of the following charities. Love of horses, flying and those that serve this country.

Services will be held December 1, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. A location for the service will be available shortly.
