The family lived in many places in Nevada and in 1952 they packed up and moved to Wyoming. They lived in many places such as Winchester and Ten Sleep. Eventually they moved to Casper Wyoming in 1960.

Jock went to Natrona County High School where he graduated in 1963. Later the family moved to Thermopolis Wyoming where they purchased The Rainbow Court. That is where Jock met his loving wife Sheryl in 1967.   Jock enjoyed many things in life, but family was everything to him. You could always find him spending time with his sons, wife, and grandchildren. He was also an avid motorcycle rider. He enjoyed long rides on his Goldwing and feeling the wind in his hair. He would also tell you that there is nothing better than good hot wings on the barbecue, along with anything else that would stay on the grill and not fall in. John really enjoyed watching his grandkids play in the yard or watching them light up over the holidays. Nothing made him happier than his grandkids.
