John R. Marshall

John Ray Marshall, age 65, passed away at peace on July 12, 2026, with his family beside him; after a short but tough, and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 4, 1961, to Darrell Edwin Marshall and Elsie Mae Marshall (Turnbow) in Chester Montana. In 1962 the family moved to Lewistown, Mt., where he attended school until a move to Wyoming in 1975 where he finished school. John had many jobs in his life and was known as a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. June 18th, 1982, John and Vivian Ann Case were married and later divorced. John married Thea Reel November 13th, 1995, in Douglas Wy where they welcomed their triplet girls Elsie, Emily and Kelli Marshall. He also inherited his bonus daughter Christina Ingram (Reel). They later got divorced but remained partners until his passing. In 2006 Christina welcomed his first grandson Brayden Ingram. In 2025 Emily welcomed his first granddaughter Paisley-Mae Marshall Gatza. John worked hard his whole life to care for his family. He is further survived by Thea, his daughters and grandchildren along with siblings: Dan (Dorie) Heimbigner- Bozeman, Mt., Darla Marshall La Fountain- Shelby Mt., Bruce (Gladys) Marshall- Douglas, Wy., Bill (Dawn) Marshall- Douglas Wy., and Traci Westover Raulston- Shelby Mt. His Uncle: Butch (Toots) Jenkins- Paulden, Az., Aunt: Betty Ross Robinson, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends who will miss him dearly. He is proceeded in death by his parents and sister Bonnie Bundy. John will be remembered for his kindness, stubbornness, devotion to family, sense of humor, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
