Joseph E. ‘Joe’ Davis, born November 29, 1960, climbed the stairway to heaven on February 23, 2024 doing what he loved, snowshoeing on Casper Mountain.
Always the outdoorsman, Joe was equally enthusiastic about his family, friends and his country. This new year brought a new fitness regime to Joe in order to achieve a life time goal to hike Gannett Peak, a five day challenging climb. If Joe was hiking, golfing or throwing a corn hole bag, he strived for the best. Same attitude resonated when putting a project together whether it’s a Harley Man Cave, a new patio set, or a camera set up for the house. It wasn’t done until it was done perfect.
Joe was well loved and respected by young and old alike. Always eager to lend a helping hand, a kind word or a gentle smile. Joe consistently sought to bring a positive mood to the day. Huge protector of the less fortunate Joe unabashedly gave to the charities he loved. He proudly showed his love for his country and his adopted state of Wyoming. He supported our servicemen as well as those who fought and died for our freedoms.
This Harley rider had more than just motor skills on his brain as he was an avid reader and a man full of useless trivia. The love of his life and soul mate, Denise Lewin, were often seen living life to the fullest. Riding their Harley every month of the year to dressing up like Yukon Cornelius and Bumbles for an Ugliest Christmas Party to mention a few.
Joe was born in Tell City, Indiana to Irmina G. (Kuntz) and James A. Davis proceeded in death. He is survived by his loving soul mate, Denise Lewin of Casper, sister Sue Davis, brother Steve Davis, brother Bruce Davis, proceeded in death, brothers Phil and John Davis. Surviving son, Colby Davis and wife Kyndal, grandchildren thereof: Piper, Berkley, of Indiana. Surviving son Mason Davis and granddaughter, Lakelyn of Gillette, WY.
