Joseph "Joe" Martinez

Joseph “Joe” Otto Martinez passed away at his home in Edgerton, WY on November 19th 2025 at the age of 74.

He was born on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota on March 25th 1951. He was the beloved son of Ruth Warner and Antoine Martinez.

A proud Marine, he served his country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. After his time in the Marine Corps, he worked as a supervisor in a manufacturing plant, in the oilfield and later was self employed.

Joe was a man of many passions and treasured time spent with his children, grandchildren and friends.

Joe is survived by his children Corie (Yesenia), Angela (Charles) and Candace (Sam), his grandchildren Alysa, Shae, Corrin, Adaisha, Trevor, Cenia, Zyrell, Lewis, Ester and Lawrence as well as six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jerry “Bum” and his friends Sandy, Alyson and Steel. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived but the many lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tony Martinez.

In keeping with his wishes, he has been cremated and no formal services will be held. His family invites those who knew him to honor his memory in their own way.
