Joyce A Hambrick

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Hambrick, 91 of Casper, Wyoming, who died peacefully on July 6, 2025 surrounded by family and friends at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper. Born on April 28, 1934, in Fort Worth Texas to Isac Fletcher Allen and Minnie Lee Allen. Joyce and her identical twin sister Janet were raised and attended high school in Grand Prairie, Texas where they were both cheerleaders. After graduating high school in 1952, Joyce attended Arlington State College. While in college she met the love of her life, Bill Hambrick, and in 1954, they began their married life of over 60 years. They were living in Jacksonville, Texas when Joyce and Bill, who was Vice President of Nichols Toy Company while working on his Master’s Degree in Education, first visited Wyoming. While on vacation, an opportunity arose for Bill to become an elementary school principal, so the Hambrick couple packed up the kids and moved to Casper, Wyoming.

Joyce initially taught elementary school at Southridge before finding her true calling in Real Estate. For over 40 years she was a realtor/broker initially at Heizer Realty, then for most of her career at Stratton Real Estate. Joyce was active in the community through Service League and being an avid duplicate bridge player, where she achieved Life Master status. She is survived by her sons Blake(Rick) of Minneapolis, Kent of Casper, and Todd of Casper; Grandchildren Elle of Oslo, Norway, Megan Wong (Sam) of Bozeman, and Alex (Ryann) of Westminster, CO; and Great-Granddaughters Lilly, Neva and Clara. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband (Bill), father (Fletcher), mother (Minnie Lee), twin sister (Janet), brother (Chuck), and sisters (Dorothy, Eliska).

At her specific request, there will be no services. She will be interred at the Oregon Trail Veteran’s Cemetery with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and the Casper Humane Society.
