Joyce A. Meier

  Joyce Annette Williams/Moncur/Meier, passed away July 16, 2023 at the age of 87 in Casper, Wyoming at Banner Wyoming Medical Center.

  Joyce was born in Casper, Wyoming to George L. Williams and Frances Lydia Magor on March 18, 1936. She attended Lincoln Grade School and graduated from NCHS in 1955.  She also attended Casper College. She worked at Shell Oil Company before starting her career at First Interstate Bank. She worked there for 17 years working her way up from phone receptionist to vice president of Accounts Department. 

  She was an avid golfer. She was a member of Paradise Valley Golf Club for over 20 years and had scored a hole-in-one on hole 17. She also enjoyed painting, traveling, making friends (she did not know a stranger), and throwing parties. She was a true people person and lived life to the fullest. Her true passion was her family. She enjoyed spending every free moment she had with them.

  She is survived by; her sister Janet (Ray) Smith, brother Fred (Lois) Williams, son Steven (Jacque) Moncur, grandson Logan Moncur, stepdaughter Mickey (Richard) Uren, granddaughter Megan Meier, stepson Larry (Lorraine) Meier, granddaughter Heather Meier, great-granddaughter Piper Meier, grandson (Lil) Jesse Meier, granddaughter Jamie Summers, great-grandsons Fisher & Finn Corrigan, grandson Bradley Ledger, grandson Aaron Ledger, nephew Dean (Shannon) Jackett, great nieces Blair & Taylar Jackett, niece Kim (Jeff) Kelty, nephew Dr. Rodney (Brenda) Hill, and nephew Jeff Hill. As well as many more family members & friends.

  She was preceded in death by husband Bruce Moncur, husband Jesse Meier, grandson Brady Meier, daughter Julie Ledger, great-granddaughter Lymae Ledger, brother-in-law Dr. Ted Hill, sister-in-law Myrna Hill, nephew Greg Hill, nephew Brad Hill and her parents George & Francis Williams.

  A private family funeral service will be held. There will be a celebration of life at 4 PM on Saturday, July 22nd 2023 at Wyoming’s Rib and Chop House in Casper (256 S Center St.) in the upper ballroom for all her friends and family to celebrate her life. She loved to party. Dress is casual, please wear bright colors if you have them.
