Memorial services for Julia Elvina Gray will be determined at a later date.  Julia passed away on October 29, 2020 at Casper Mountain Rehabilitation and Care Center.

Julia was born on July 24, 1931, in Casper, WY.  She was the daughter of Olaf and Julia Solwold and stepmother Ida.  Julia spent most of her childhood in Cody, WY, and moved back to Casper when she was in high school.  Julia attended Natrona County High School and graduated in 1950.  On June 14, 1951, Julie married Donald E Gray and they were married for 60 wonderful years.  Julie worked various jobs including Control Data, Lincoln School, and Chet’s Toy Store.  Julie was very active in her children’s lives with scouts and PTA.  She enjoyed playing bridge and square dancing.  Julie was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  Faith, family and her Norwegian heritage were very important to her.  Julie had a passion for gardening and every year had some of the prettiest flowers in the neighborhood.  Following her retirement, Don and Julie spent four years in Hope, ID.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Donald, and her sister, Orpha Prather.  Julie is survived by her five children, Dennis (Sherry) Gray, Terry (Donna) Gray, Sonja (the late Tom) Leimback, David (Sharon) Gray, and Susan (Ralph) Stanley.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts may be given in lieu of flowers to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
