Julie A. Brown

August 28, 1951 — December 24, 2025

Julie Ann Brown passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. Born on August 28, 1951, Julie was known for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniably caring spirit she brought into the world. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the deep connections she formed with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Julie will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Daniel “Jerry” Brown; her beloved children, Daniel Wayne Hoover (Brenda) and Chad Michael Hoover; her step-daughters, Dori Orr (Mike) and Paula Draper; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride. She is reunited in rest with her father, Floyd “Pat” Podhaski; her mother, Josephine; her brother, Tom; and many other cherished loved ones who went before her. With a family tree as full as her heart, Julie’s family extended well beyond blood ties, encompassing countless bonds formed through love, kindness, and unwavering support.

Julie was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa, before her family moved to Casper, Wyoming, where she later attended Casper College. She married her first husband, Michael Wayne Hoover, and together they welcomed two sons, Danny and Chad. During these years, Julie embraced life with energy and joy—she loved belly dancing, playing softball and pool with friends, and creating lasting memories while camping and fishing with her boys when they were young.

Julie later met Daniel “Jerry” Brown, along with his two daughters, Dori and Paula. Together, Julie and Jerry built a beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and a strong sense of family. Their blended family was a source of immense pride, and Julie cherished every opportunity to visit, gather, and stay connected with family and friends. Anyone who truly knew Julie knew she had an exceptionally big heart and a genuine concern for others.

One of Julie’s greatest accomplishments—and her deepest joy—was raising her children, who remained her pride and joy throughout her life. She worked for the City of Casper in Finance before taking early retirement due to disability. Even as life presented its challenges, Julie’s compassion never wavered. She continued to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need.

In her later years, Julie found comfort and happiness in quieter joys. She especially enjoyed quilting, pouring her creativity and love into every stitch, and playing bingo, where her laughter and warm spirit were always present. These simple pleasures reflected who she was—a woman who found beauty in togetherness, creativity, and shared moments.

Julie Ann Brown leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
