Kathi Jacobs

May 16, 1950 — April 13, 2024

If we know Casper, Wyoming like we do; despite a likely windy and cold night in early May of 1950, the world was blessed with Donna Katherine Niedermeyer (Kathi Jacobs). Kathi went gently into her Heavenly Father’s arms on April 13, 2024, in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Kathi was born on May 16, 1950, she was 73 years old.

Kathi was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming to Larry and Donna Niedermeyer. Tragically at the age of 10 her father Larry passed, and her mom married Wilber Marvel who helped raise her and her brother David as his own. She spent most of her youth in the house her father Larry built with Donna on Dahlia St., in Paradise Valley. She went to Natrona County High School and graduated in 1968. Shorty thereafter she married her 1st love David Kelly who tragically passed away early in their marriage. Then she married her 2nd love Louis Montoya. When that marriage didn’t go as she hoped she moved to Auburn California and lived with her uncle Milton and her aunt Ida where she met the true love of her life Jake Jacobs who she married on the 4th of July in 1980.

Kathi and Jake gave their lives to Christ in the late 70’s and from that day forward they began to work with each other as small business owners. They created Jesus and Jake’s Dismantlers where she ran all aspects of the office. She was so amazing at this that she was elected President of the Northern California Auto Dismantlers Association. She loved to spend time with her children to guide them into becoming adults that could make a positive impact in their communities. If she wasn’t working with Jake or spending time with her children she was actively involved with her churches; Penryn Four Square Church (Penryn CA), Crossroads Community Church (Rocklin CA), Trinity Life Center (Las Vegas, NV), Casper Assembly of God (Casper Wyoming) and finally, One Church in Prescott AZ.

She loved to make porcelain dolls from scratch; sanding the rough porcelain, painting, then assembling/dressing the hand made dolls to put them on display or give to her loved ones who to this day hold them as family heirlooms. One of her favorite creations was a 4-foot-tall John Wayne that is magnificent. She then turned her minimal free time into collecting antiques to decorate her house and that turned into her own business. Antique Depot was born in Boulder City, NV and that became her sole focus once she successfully sent her children off into the world. Kathi had a huge interest in her gardening. She would grow such beautiful plants and gorgeous flowers that remind all of us of her beauty inside and out.

She loved to ride Harley’s and to absolutely love and spoil her doggies. Kathi would tell you the one thing she was the proudest of; besides her walk with Christ, is her gift of helping anyone and everyone that she could. She would not only give you anything you needed, but she would also follow up to make sure you didn’t need anything else. If you did, she would give you that too. Her gifts of kindness, selflessness and generosity were a blessing to so many who will miss her dearly. She would be the first to tell you that it was not her, but Christ, who was guiding her selflessness.

Kathi is survived by: her husband Jake Jacobs, her daughter Melissa Bachilla, her son Paul Jacobs, her granddaughter’s Rylie and Brooklynn Jacobs, her foster children Elisa Strange, Tina Harcourt, Rusty and Krysten O’Connel, her great niece Natelee Niedermeyer, her brother Billie Marvel, her uncle Don Niedermeyer, her aunt Sharon Mathis, her uncle Gene Morton, her uncle Jay Morton, her niece Star Niedermeyer, her nephew Joshua Niedermeyer, her great niece Shannon Mathis and several other beloved niece’s, nephew’s, and cousins. Plus, all her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Kathi was preceded in death by: her son Zane Jacobs, her father Larry Niedermeyer, her mother Donna Marvel, her stepdad Wilber Marvel, her brother David Niedermeyer, her brother Rick Marvel, her sister Jeanne Garris, her aunt Ida Grisham, her uncle Bob Niedermeyer, her 1st husband David Kelly and her 2nd husband Louis Montoya.
