Kelli Kathileen Salinas

March 6, 1985 — December 21, 2025

Kelli Kathileen Salinas, affectionately known to many as Kelli Kathileen Meadows, Senator, Schmell, and Kel, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming. Born on March 6, 1985, in Clackamas, Oregon, Kelli was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her.

Kelli's journey was met with challenges, particularly when she was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in September 2024. Her battle with this aggressive cancer was arduous, and despite her tenacity and the various treatments she underwent, the disease proved relentless. Towards the end of her journey, Kelli chose to spend her final days surrounded by her beloved family at home, a testament to her strong will and dedication to those she cherished most.

She is survived by a loving family who will forever hold her memory close. Her father, Steve Meadows, and her mother, Karen Meadows, along with her sisters, Krystal Schneider and Kendra Anne, remain heartbroken yet grateful for the time they shared. Kelli's spirit will also continue to live on through her husband, Joseph Salinas, and their three children, Jaxon, Cameron, and Makenzi Salinas, who were her pride and joy.

Kelli's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to excellence in her profession as an ICU nurse. With 14 years of dedicated service, she thrived on the challenges that came with her role. Her recent accomplishment of obtaining her Masters of Nursing while facing her health struggles exemplified her determination and resilience. Kelli's colleagues admired her for her intelligence and approachability; she was always the reliable presence in complicated situations, driven by a love for learning and a desire to help.

Beyond her professional life, Kelli had a vibrant personality that drew people to her. She possessed the unique ability to brighten any room and could instantly elevate the spirits of those around her with her warm smile and infectious laughter. Kelli's sarcastic humor kept everyone on their toes, but it was her genuine kindness and zeal for life that left a lasting impact on many.

Her children were at the heart of her world; she took immense pride in their growth and achievements. Kelli poured her heart into every moment spent with them, cherishing their milestones and nurturing their dreams. Graduation with her Master's degree was among her proudest accomplishments, showcasing her perseverance even in the face of adversity.

Kelli's love for the outdoors extended to her favorite activities, including camping, where she relished the simplicity and warmth of a good campfire. Crater Lake, Oregon, held a special place in her heart as a cherished camping destination. The fall season was particularly dear to Kelli; it signified the onset of football, Halloween, and Christmas—occasions she celebrated with boundless enthusiasm. An avid fan of the Oregon Ducks, Kelli transformed her home into a festive haven each Halloween and Christmas, enveloping her family in decorations that reflected her vibrant spirit.

In remembrance of Kelli, a Celebration of Life and benefit will be held at Gaslight Social in Casper, Wyoming, on January 17, 2026, from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Kelli Kathileen Salinas was a remarkable person whose positive impact resonated throughout her community. As friends and family reflect on her life, the world feels a little darker and more empty without her presence. Kelli will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to illuminate the lives of those she touched.
