Kent Allen Hambrick

November 20, 1957 — August 28, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kent Hambrick, 67 of Casper, Wyoming, who died peacefully at home on August 28, 2025, in Casper. Kent was born on November 20, 1957, in Jacksonville, Texas to Bill and Joyce Hambrick, who moved to Casper when he was a toddler. Kent attended Southridge Elementary, CY Junior High and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1976 where he was a member of what he still proudly referred to as the “legendary” undefeated State Champion NCHS Mustang football team. After graduating high school, Kent attended the University of Nebraska, belonged to the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and graduated in 1980 with a dual BA in Journalism/Advertising. Kent went on to earn his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1989 while working as the Director of Family Marketing for Holiday Inn Worldwide. In 2003, Kent returned to Casper to go into the real estate business with his mother, Joyce Hambrick. He worked at Stratton Real Estate before going into business with Coldwell Banker until his recent retirement. He served as a Director and President of the Casper Board of Realtors, was named Realtor of the Year in 2009 and served as Chairman of the Practitioner Standards Committee. Kent was an active member of the Casper community where he served on the Amoco Reuse Joint Powers Board and the Board of Directors of the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance.

An avid football fan for life, Kent loved the Wyoming Cowboys, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and almost rabidly the Buffalo Bills where he was a loud and proud member of The Bills Mafia! Kent is survived by his daughter Elle and Grand-daughter Lilly of Oslo, Norway and his brothers Blake(Rick) Minneapolis, and Todd of Casper. Kent was preceded in death by his beloved father and mother Bill and Joyce Hambrick.

A reception celebrating the life of Kent will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Casper Humane Society.
