LaVonne Johnson

   LaVonne Kathryn Johnson (Sally), age 89, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away March 14, 2023 at LifeCare Center. LaVonne was born February 3, 1934 in Lead, SD to John and Florence (Schopen) Salathe. She attended schools in Lead, SD and graduated from Lead High School in 1951. She met Paul Edward Johnson and married him on May 23, 1953 at St. Patrick’s Church in Lead and to this union, they had 4 children.
  In the later part of her life, she lived in Marshfield, Missouri and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church before moving to Casper.
  LaVonne is survived by son, Deacon David (Caroline) Johnson, Daughter, Kathryn Pete, Son, Michael (Debra) Johnson, and Daughter, Barbara (Philip) Cuneo, 10 grandchildren, 
and 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. Also, her Brothers, Lawrence and Donald, and Sister, Rita.
  A Vigil Service will be held Tuesday, March 21 at 7:00 PM and a Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 22 at 2:00 PM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Casper, Wyoming. Interment will be held at a later date in Lead, SD.
