Margaret Mary Salisbury

Margaret Mary (Burgoyne) Salisbury, 83, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on August 11,2026. Margaret was born on March 15, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan. After graduation, she attended nursing school and spent the early years of her career working as both a hospital nurse and a pediatric flight nurse. In 1965, she married Eugene Salisbury, whom she was married to for 49 years before his passing.

Margaret found her love for non-profit work upon moving to Casper in the 1980s. She was the Executive Director for the Wyoming Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for many years before helping to found Wyoming CARES. Her dedication to helping others in Wyoming reflected her compassionate nature and inspired admiration among those who knew her.

Margaret loved the outdoors and spent many years camping, hunting, and traveling. She never met a stranger and was known for her mischievous side. Her love for people, adventures, her family, and friends made her a vibrant presence. She will be truly missed by those whose lives she touched, leaving a sense of loss and fond remembrance.

Margaret is survived by her children Gene Jr. (Barb), Jim, and Cindi (Trent), her grandchildren Cassidy, Abbi, Lorali, Clayton, Kyle, and Ryan, her great-grandchildren Rhyann, Klaira, Jaxson, McKinley, and Violet, and her sisters Therese and Marie. She was preceded in death by her mother and father (Henry and Aline), her sisters MaryAnne and Pauline, her brothers Xavier and Frank, and her grandson Cody.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Bustard's Funeral Home, with a viewing from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Wyoming CARES at P.O. Box 2575, Casper, WY 82602, or at wyomingcares.org.
