Mari A. Fochtman

Mari Annett Fochtman, 66, of Casper passed away July 4, 2023, following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Mari was born May 20, 1957, in Caldwell, ID to parents Patricia (Kiser) and Mark Williams. She grew up in Caldwell, where she attended school.

Mari lived in several places and had attended culinary school before settling in Casper in 1997. For many years, she volunteered at Roosevelt High School. She was an avid cook and accomplished gardener, having completed the Master Gardener’s coursework through the University of Wyoming Extension.

Most importantly, Mari was a loving and devoted caregiver to her family. She would run to their aid whenever needed, without hesitation.

Survivors include her husband, Howard C. Fochtman; son, Justin Fochtman; siblings, Julie Thomas, Mike Williams and Helen Ford; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Shawn Fochtman.

At Mari’s request, no formal services are being held.
