Maria C. Maeso Lupton, 86, of Casper, Wyoming passed away on May 29, 2023 at Casper Hospice after a short illness. Maria was born in Sevilla, Spain to Antonio and Julia Maeso on December 03, 1936. After the death of her mother, when she was only 3, she was raised along with her 2 sisters, Antonia and Dolores by her father, aunt, uncle and grandmother. In 1960, after a whirlwind courtship, she married David Lupton, an airman in the Air Force stationed at a radar site near Constantina Spain. She was a devoted wife for 62 years. During their time in Spain, she welcomed daughter Julia and son David. After they were transferred back to the United States, she proudly became a United State citizen and in San Francisco, California gave birth to Jacqueline. Maria was a wonderful mother to Julia Townsend (Jet), David Lupton (Royce) and Jacqueline Dent (Ted). While she was a perfect, loving wife and mother, she idolized her grandchildren, Cassandra Guenther (Scott), Sara Sawyer (Tom) Derek Townsend (Katherine) Kaylin Dent (Seth), Marissa Dent (Sean) and Lillian Dent (Daniel). She was thrilled when she became a Great Grandmother to Carmen Townsend, Hollie Bertrand, Jonah Bertrand, Charlotte Dent, Atlas Sawyer and Jayden Dent, and her beloved dog, Winston. Maria and David loved to travel the world, making lifelong friends along the way. For many years they wintered in Texas and Yuma, Arizona, only missing this year because of poor health.
Maria was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Maria was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Maria was proceeded in death by her mother, father, aunt, uncle, sister, grandmother and grandson Tyler Townsend.
The family wishes to express their thanks for the many kindnesses, prayers and sympathies extended during this time, and a special thank you to the staff of K-Home Hospice in Casper for their loving care of Maria and their support of the family during the longest goodbye.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Hospital would be appreciated. Maria held a very special place in her heart.
