Casper

Mary Ann Watson (Marley) passed away, age 80, on July 15, 2026, after a sudden illness. Born in Norfolk, Nebraska on October 14th, 1945, she was the daughter of Marion Elizabeth Marley (White) and Noros Walter Marley.

She is survived by her two sons, William Wayne Salisbury and James (Wally) Salisbury (and his wife, Livia); her former spouse, John Wayne Salisbury; her sister, Karen Sue Tevis (Marley); and her life partner of over 41 years, Steve Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Norene Wilson.

Mary Ann moved to Casper in the late 1950s. She worked and volunteered at Wyoming Medical Center for over 40 years.

Mary Ann loved bird watching and animals of all kinds. She loved to explore the world – be it wandering around small towns and riverbanks or filling books with pictures of dream cabins in remote forests across the world. She was passionate about music and movies.

When people got to know her, she revealed her dark sense of humor and creative mind. She was very independent and did not want anyone to do anything for her that she could do for herself. Tough and tenacious, she was never one to be called wishy-washy. This tenacity was only matched by her kindness.
