Mary Lou Griswold

Mary Lou (Mamaw) Griswold, 96, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on May 9th, 2025 in Casper Wyoming.

Mary Lou was born in Atoka County, Oklahoma to Lud Lo Barris and Bertha Maud Sissom on September 13th, 1928. She was a homemaker and a dang good cook. Mamaw was a greeter at College Heights Baptist Church; she worked in the nursery as she loved all the kids. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was devoted to the lord and never missed Sunday service. Mamaw’s favorite food was a stick butter and made her right arm stronger when she’d smack you for making a joke. She loved to go fishing and snowmobiling with her husband. She had a fiery personality and could make anyone laugh.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Janice and Rodney Rodrick, Steve and Janeen Griswold, and Curtis Griswold. She is preceded by her husband Emory Griswold, her daughter Patsy Griswold/Gardner, daughter-in-law Sandy Griswold, and her 12 siblings.

Funeral Service will be held at College Heights Baptist Church (Chapel) on Thursday May 15th, 2025 at 10 a.m. with pastor Mike Cooper. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Casper Wyoming. Reception will be held at College Heights Baptist Church (Main) on May 15th following the funeral service. Bustards will be handling the funeral arrangements.
