Mary Coley passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026. She was born on April 29, 1955, in Forsyth, Montana to Gilbert and Selma Weidner. As a child, Mary loved to ride along in Dad’s semi-truck. She would play with the baby chickens around the farm, ride horses, and of course, do her chores. Mary lived in North Dakota, Montana, and Arkansas as a child, but she has lived in Casper for most of her life.
Mary has won several cooking awards throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking and baking immensely and put her heart into every dish. In addition to cooking at the Ramada Inn, JB’s Restaurant, and the Petroleum Club, Mary lovingly prepared all holiday meals for her family. She spent the last of her working years at Intermountain Records.
Mary adored the time she spent with her son, Edward, the grandkids and great grandkids. She was so very proud of teaching her granddaughter Alyssa to bake cakes. Mary loved to travel when she had time; she also loved listening to Elvis Pressley and country music, dolphins, and her cats Mickey and Midnight. She was an incredibly hard worker her entire life and always thought of others first. She loved to laugh but also had a serious side. You could count on Mary always saying what was on her mind.
After Mary became ill, several hobbies filled her days. She would spend time talking to her sisters on the phone, doing word searches, Sudoku puzzles, and playing computer games, but she especially loved doing Diamond Dots kits.
Mary was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Linda and Jacob, paternal grandparents Emma and Alex, mother Selma, father Gilbert, sister Anna, grandson Derrick, Uncle Ehart, Uncle Eldor, Uncle Ervin, her brother-in-law William, and her cat Mickey.
Mary is survived by her son Edward, grandchildren Alyssa, Brandon, Chase, Kayleigh, and Danial, and great grandchildren Olivia & Cameron, sisters Betty Ortloff and Sherley Curtis, Uncle Hilmer, five nieces, two nephews, and her beloved cat, Midnight.
For those of you who are loved but not mentioned, you are not forgotten.
