Mary Kampa

March 23, 1951 — November 26, 2021

Mary Jane (Bremer) Kampa's huge, caring heart gave out at 2:37 am, Friday, November 26, 2021. Mary was born March 23, 1951, to Joseph and Alvera Bremer, the sixth of seven children. She was raised in Motley, Minnesota, where she met Michael John Kampa her sophmore year of high school, and was immediately smitten. They were married June 27, 1970, and moved around Minnesota until moving to Wyoming in 1979, where they built their lives and an extensive network of friends.

Together, they had four children: Liz (Bill) Weatherwax, Michelle (Chuck) Adkins, Mitch (Dorie) and Erin. They are proud to call Austin (Marissa), Emily (Wes), Chloe, Haley, Elijah, Bella, and Ellie Jane their grandchildren. Over the years, she worked as a dental hygienist, a nursing home caretaker, an officer at Hilltop National Bank, and a Reading Resource Assistant at Southridge Elementary School. Her favorite job of all was being mom and grandma to so many, whether by birth or by choice.

She was our strong, beautiful, generous, passionate, vibrant, creative, fiercely devoted wife, mom, grandma, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend. She was our go-to, confidant, security blanket, biggest fan, cheerleader and our best friend. She was our center and our rock. She was the person who loved and accepted each of us just as we are. She loved so many, and in return, was loved quickly and deeply by everyone who ever met her. She was the music to our lives and made every moment magical. She was always up for an adventure of any kind - particularly if it involved rock hunting. She loved hunting for agates - especially along the Yellowstone River in Montana.

We will be honoring her life at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Highland Park Community Church - 5725 Highland Drive. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the 19th Hole Restaurant at the Casper Municipal Golf Course - 2120 Allendale Boulevard. Our lives are forever changed and our hearts are broken. Mary was deeply loved and will be missed by so many - thank you for sharing her life with us.
