Former Glenrock resident Mona K. Plummer Griffiths passed away April 16, 2010 in Casper. She was born on October 3, 1911 to Katherine Ester and Christopher Kennaugh in Kansas City, Kansas. She was raised and educated in the Glenrock-Parkerton area. Mona won the state cooking title while in high school, and remained the best cook around to those who knew her. In 1934 she married Nile Plummer, and together they raised towo wonderful children, Ermalee and Doug. They owned and operated Niles gas station and later Jolly Jelly factory until the death of Nile in 1962. Mona then became the town clerk for 7 years then remarried in 1969 to Griff Griffiths. Mona will always be remembered for her elegant and proper ways. She was true "English" in her manners, due to the fact her parents were immigrants from the Isle of Mann. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Gilm, George and Aubrey, both husbands Nile and Griff and one daughter Ermalee. She is survived by her brother Don (Lois) Kennaugh, son Doug (Sandy) Plummer, grandchildren Kelly(Ken) Richard, Kevin Cohee, Mike (Carol) Plummer, Rita (Maurice) Elmore, Steve (Shelley) Plummer, and Rhonda (Chad) Benson, numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday April 21, 2010 at 11:00 at the Community Baptist Church in Glenrock. Condolences may be left at bustardsfuneralhome.com.
