She graduated from Rawlins High School in 1939. On May 28, 1939 she married Lloyd Alfred “Al” Duncan. Nellie and Al had three children, Lloyd, Lavaughn and Jamie. After their children were grown, Nellie and Al moved on to new adventures in Anchorage, Alaska, working and spending time with numerous family members, before moving back to Casper to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
