Robert Lynn Scarbrough, age 48, of Casper, passed away November 6, 2025. Robert was born in Casper, WY on July 4, 1977. He was the youngest of three children born to Terry Lee Scarbrough. From a young age, Robert exhibited a lively and independent spirit, traits that would define his life and his relationships with those around him
Robert, more affectionately known to many as Uncle Rob, possessed a truly selfless and generous spirit, demonstrated most clearly through his willingness to lend a helping hand. He was the quintessential man you called when you had a project, large or small, that required an extra set of hands or, perhaps more importantly, his particular brand of can-do attitude.
Uncle Rob was the dependable go-to person in his community and family circle. If you needed a fence fixed—a task that often requires patience, strength, and a little bit of know-how—you would call Uncle Rob. If there was heavy lifting involved, whether it was moving furniture, setting a post, or hauling materials, his number was the first one dialed. Even for less glamorous but equally necessary tasks, such as cleaning up the yard, raking leaves, or hauling off debris, Uncle Rob was always ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work. His commitment to assisting others was a core part of his character, making him a beloved and indispensable figure in the lives of those who knew him. He didn't just offer to help; he showed up and saw the job through to completion, embodying a deep sense of loyalty and helpfulness.
Robert had an enduring zest for life and an active spirit that kept him constantly moving. The family often joked that he had walked all over Casper at least a hundred times over, a testament to his love for being outdoors and his insatiable curiosity about the city he called home. He often knew the city's shortcuts and hidden pathways better than anyone.
Robert's earthly journey concluded as he was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Terry. He leaves behind a legacy of family, remembered fondly by his surviving sister, Jamie, and his brother, Michael. Robert was a cherished uncle to his nieces: Sabrina, Tabitha, and Shylynn. He was also a devoted father to his two daughters and one son, who brought him immense joy. Additionally, his memory will live on through his numerous great nieces and nephews, who represent the youngest generation of his expansive family.
