Bob and Barbara enjoyed Wyoming’s outdoors, spending time fishing, hunting, and bird watching, as well as traveling across the United States and abroad, including trips to Alaska, Australia, and New Zealand. They were also known for hosting memorable gatherings in their Casper home.
Bob had a deep appreciation for nature and conservation. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Audubon Wyoming Society and generously gave his time and resources to organizations such as the United Way, the American Cancer Society, and the Murie Audubon Society.
Bob is survived by his sons, Clint (Tami) Yonts, Calvin (Susanne) Yonts, both of Midland, Texas, and Craig Yonts of Casper, Wyoming; his daughter, Lucinda “Cindy” Pope of Levelland, Texas; and his stepson, Mark Sigler of Weatherford, Texas. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Diana Krahenbuhl of Tampa, Florida, Kathy Yonts of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Peggy Yonts of Grant-Valkaria, Florida; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Eva Yonts; his wives, Shirley Schrage Yonts and Barbara Sigler Yonts; his brothers, Larry, Dean, and Delmer Yonts; and his sister, Linda Pangburn.
