Roberta “Bobbie” Jean Cestnik, 91, of Casper Wyoming, passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2023, at Central Wyoming Hospice. The Cestnik family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions for the kindness and care they provided to her.

Roberta was born May 3rd, 1932, in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Edna Mae and Elroy Taylor. She spent much of her childhood with her Aunt Pearl and Uncle Fred Strickland on their farm in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. Roberta married John W. Cestnik on January 29th, 1955. In 1964 Roberta was widowed John F. Cestnik tragically passed away in an accident while working in the oil field. After John’s passing Roberta became a real estate agent to support and provide for her four sons. She worked at Arrow Reality for many years until her retirement.  Roberta was a strong, independent woman who cared deeply for her family and was always willing to help in any way she could. She is remembered by her family as having a green thumb and as an excellent cook. Roberta also enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with her family. Roberta is survived by her sons John Cestnik (Kathy), Ron Cestnik, and Frank Cestnik all of Casper. She was known as “Gram” to 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John W. Cestnik, son Don Cestnik of Rock Springs, Wyoming, brother Billy Roy Taylor of Denver, Colorado, mother Edna Mae Taylor of Salt Lake, Utah and sisters Ethal VanDeburg and Judy Connole of Drapper, Utah.
