Ronda "Granny" Knowlton Glenrock - Services for Ronda "Granny" Knowlton, 71, will be held at 1:00 PM. Friday, September 17, 2010, at First Southern Baptist Chapel, in Glenrock, with Pastor Jim Ritter officiating. Her final resting place will be in Torrington, WY on Saturday, September 18th at 10:00 AM at Valley View Cemetery. Ronda died on September 12, 2010 at Central Wyoming Hospice, from a courageous nine month battle with cancer. She was born on October 2, 1938, to Eugene D. and Bennie.Yeik in Laramie, WY. After graduating from Yoder High School in 1956 (class of three), she married Marvin Knowlton on May 18, 1958, and to this union they had three children, Laurie, Bradley and Julie. In 1977 they moved to Glenrock where they owned and operated Glenrock Bowl, where they later divorced. In the 1980's she sold the bowling alley and went to work at Williams Town & Country where she retired in 1999. After her retirement she enjoyed going to jam sessions, hunting, Red Hat Society, traveling and spending endless hours with her family, and especially in 2007 when she became a "great" grandma to Kiley Smith and Bailey Mueller and babysat them up until January 2010. Ronda was preceded in death by her Mom in 2008, her Dad in 2009 and one brother, Jim Yeik in 1966. She is survived by her children: Laurie (Shon) Lindsey of Glenrock, Bradley (Katie) Knowlton of Glenrock, Julie Knowlton of Casper. Nine grandchildren: Devonie (Bradley) Mueller, Marcie (Ryan) Smith, Jody EWes, Shelby Calder, Bryant Knowlton, Izabella Knowlton, lucas Hill, Jena Williams, and Mathew Edwards. Five "great" grandchildren: Kiley Smith, Bailey Mueller, Stetson Edwards, Cactus Edwards, & Wyatt Edwards and one sister Elnora Morris of Thorton, CO. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers: Shon Lindsey, Brad Knowlton, Bradley Mueller, George Mueller, Ryan Smith, Larry Smith, Gary Sheets, & Lucas Hill. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Central Wyoming Hospice at, 319 S. Wilson St, Casper, WY 82601. At Ronda's request, please wear brightly colored clothing as she wants us to celebrate her final destination, HEAVEN!
