Sandra Kay Dooley

June 29, 1949 — March 18, 2024

   Sandra Kay Dooley of Casper Wyoming passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of March 18, 2024.  Sandra was born in Basin, Wyoming to Carl and Leona Wegner on June 29th, 1949. She attended Burlington High School and graduated in 1967. She went on to attend BYU, North Carolina State, and Scottsdale Community College where she earned her nursing degree. She married Gordon Dooley in the Manti Temple on June 5, 1968.  She worked at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, WY for most of her 30+ year career. Her first nursing job was in a burn unit in Phoenix, AZ, which she thoroughly loved. Sandra was forever involved in sports; her own, her boys and her grandchildren's. She was very active in Genealogy, the LDS Church and traveling to AZ and abroad with friends and family.

   Sandra was survived by her husband, Gordon; two boys, Kamrin and Devin; daughters-in-law, Lacey and Lauren; four grandchildren; Sienna, Madison, Trysten and Jaxon; her sister, Sherry and her husband, Don Christiansen and their 3 children, Kyle, Kirk and Maren; and her brother Jerry’s children, Michael, Gerilynne and Karen. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Leona Wegner and her bother Jerry.  

  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11 AM at Wolf Creek Stake Center, 3931 W 45th St, Casper WY 82604. A reception will follow.
