Saul Garcia, 55, of Hobbs New Mexico, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper Wyoming, on February 20, 2024. Saul was born in Alpine Texas to Candelario Garcia and Austrebetha Hernandez Hisquierdo on January 18, 1969. He grew up in Torrington, Wyoming and he attended and graduated Torrington High School in 1988. He later moved and lived in Scottsbluff Nebraska where he was able to raise and care for two beautiful children, Rick “RJ” Requejo and Ashlie Requejo who were his love of his life. He then lived and spent most of his life in Hobbs New Mexico where he called home. In his youth, he enjoyed many activities such as track, roller skating, riding bikes and attending 1980 band concerts. He also loved to attend Spanish dances, and liked to be around family and friends. Saul worked various labor jobs but loved his outdoor ones the best.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held in Casper Wyoming at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Friday, February 23rd at 3:00 pm. A celebration of life will be taking place at a later date in Hobbs New Mexico.
He is survived by his mother, Austrebetha Hisquierdo, Gering NE; Elizabeth Hisquierdo-Flores(Manny Flores) of Casper WY; Gloria Hisquierdo of Gering NE; Jacinto Garcia (Sandra Perez) of Torrington WY, Faustino Jr Hisquierdo of Torrington WY and his children Rick “RJ” Requejo of Honolulu Hawaii; Ashlie Requejo of Scottbluff NE and his best friend Dora Jimenez from Lincoln NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Faustino Hisquierdo (Torrington WY) and his grandmother,
Epifañia Gonzalez (Hobbs New Mexico).
